Domepal Tablet 10’s

Domepal Tablet 10’s is used for the symptomatic treatment of migraine and any medical condition with concomitant nausea/vomiting and fever/pain. Migraine is a neurological condition that can cause severe throbbing pain or a pulsing sensation, usually on one side of the head, eyes, face, and neck. Symptoms may include nausea, vomiting, difficulty speaking, numbness or tingling, and sensitivity to light and sound.

Domepal Tablet 10’s is a combination of two drugs: Domperidone and Paracetamol. Domperidone prevents nausea and vomiting symptoms by blocking certain receptors (like dopamine and serotonin) that stimulate the vomiting centre (chemoreceptor trigger zone –CTZ) located in the brain. It also acts as a prokinetic agent that increases the upper gastrointestinal tract’s motility and helps in decreasing the stomach emptying time. Paracetamol is an NSAID that works by blocking the effect of a chemical messenger in your body, known as cyclo-oxygenase (COX) enzymes that make another chemical ‘prostaglandins’(PG). These prostaglandins are produced at injury sites and cause pain and swelling. By blocking the effect of COX enzymes, fewer PGs are produced, which reduces mild to moderate pain and inflammation at the injured or damaged site.

Take Domepal Tablet 10’s as prescribed. Your doctor will recommend how often you take Domepal Tablet 10’s based on your medical condition. Some people may experience some side effects, dry mouth, skin rash, anxiety, diarrhoea, and drowsiness. Most of these side effects of Domepal Tablet 10’s do not require medical attention and gradually resolve over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your doctor.

You can increase the efficacy of Domepal Tablet 10’s by taking a small meal or snacks frequently. Do not take Domepal Tablet 10’s if you are allergic to Domepal Tablet 10’s and other medicines. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, it is advised to inform your doctor before taking Domepal Tablet 10’s. Inform your doctor if you have heart, kidney, and liver disease. Prolonged intake of Domepal Tablet 10’s may be associated with an increased risk of heart rhythm disorder (arrhythmia) and cardiac arrest (heart attack). This risk may be more likely in the elderly (those over 60 years old) or taking a higher dose. If you experience heart rhythm disorders like palpitations, trouble in breathing, or loss of consciousness after taking Domepal Tablet 10’s, immediately contact your doctor.
